X1 is Tom Kahler's preset for grey days and directional light. It adds a moody, cinematic atmosphere while keeping tones natural, and works as a one-click edit or as a base for further grading.

  • The X1 preset
  • Two radial filters: one to sharpen the subject, one for a subtle haze
  • Two graduated filters to shape the direction of light
  • Desktop and mobile versions; Mac and PC; RAW and JPEG
How to install

Lightroom Classic: in the Develop module, click + in the Presets panel and choose Import Presets.

Lightroom: open Edit → Presets, use the … menu and choose Import Presets.

Every photo is different, so fine-tune exposure and white balance after applying a preset.
