Digital grain often looks flat because one pattern is laid over the whole image, while real film grain behaves differently in highlights, midtones and shadows. The Film Grain is a Photoshop action that copies that behaviour, applying grain selectively across the tonal range for a result much closer to a film scan than Lightroom or Capture One grain sliders.

How to install
Lightroom Classic: in the Develop module, click + in the Presets panel and choose Import Presets.
Lightroom: open Edit → Presets, use the … menu and choose Import Presets.
Every photo is different, so fine-tune exposure and white balance after applying a preset.
